using your voice

As a result of low turnout among our youngest potential voters, youth voices are often excluded or diminished within political spaces. But we know that youth are setting the course for a stronger, more inclusive, more equitable future. That's why we use our platforms to lift up youth voices and amplify their messages.

"I never saw value in my voice as a result of adults who neglected it or middle school classmates who thought girls shouldn't speak about civic affairs. But, through YVote, I learned that you are never too young to be involved. My voice, my ideas, my lived experiences hold significance."

Our content creators have a ripple effect, not only honing their communication skills but also helping peers navigate an increasingly confusing media landscape. Only 35% of young people in the US report having people, organizations, or resources in their community to help them make sense of the social and political information they consume. Our youth-run media outlets are working to fill that gap and meet the needs of their peers.
